AstroGirls Guide to Solana Wallets

Hi Astro Girls!

We are only a few weeks away from launch, so we want to answer all of your questions. If you’re new to Solana NFT’s, this is the article for you! We will go over how to set up a Solana wallet and transfer Ethereum.

Part One: The Wallet

Our team’s favorite SOL wallet is Phantom. However, feel free to use whichever Solana wallet works best for you. Let’s set up a new Phantom wallet together:

Firstly, download the Phantom app:

Secondly, select “Create a new wallet.” You will then click through and be given your recovery phrase. Your recovery phrase is how you can recover your account, so make sure you write that down and store it in a safe place. Also, never share it with anyone!

And that’s it! You now have a Solana compatible wallet.

Part Two: Transferring Assets

You’re gonna want some funds because Astro Girls NFT is minting February 28th. If you want to use ETH assets — that’s no problem! However, you must do it the correct way so that you do not lose your assets.

Phantom only supports the SOL version of ETH — so you need to transfer ETH via the SOL network, not the ERC20 network. If you attempt to send via the ERC20 network, you will never get that ETH back.

There are a few different ways to transfer ETH → SOL. Let’s go over a few different methods:

Method 1: Wormhole Token Bridge

Step 1: Head over to Wormhole Token Bridge:

Step 2: Select your origin chain (can be ETH, Terra, etc) and connect your wallet

Step 3: Enter the number of tokens you wish to send

Step 4: Select your Target (Solana) and connect your wallet

Step 5: Send the tokens by clicking “Transfer.”

Step 6: Click Redeem!

Method 2: FTX

If you want to send stablecoins to your Phantom wallet, FTX may be perfect for you!

Step One: Go to the FTX app

Step Two: Buy USDC or USDT on FTX

Step Three: Go to the withdraw page and make sure Solana SPL is available

Step Four: Paste your Phantom address and withdraw the funds
